Sisson Mobility Restoration Center is a premier provider of technologically advanced prostheses, serving individual patients throughout the world. Although there are approximately two million people in the United States living without one or more limbs, their clinical needs are profoundly different from one another—and this is something that’s crucial to understand.

Because the amount of remaining limb greatly affects a person’s prosthetic design requirements, there are no “off-the-shelf” solutions. And after being fitted with the prosthesis, what one person considers “getting my life back” will differ profoundly from what someone else considers to be the same.

All of this—and more—are what make limb loss perhaps the most individualistic among clinical conditions, which is why we invite you to speak to our patients and hear about their experiences as you consider your options.
